Another new rum for the spanish market was introduced last april the 1st in Madrid.
It is a premium rum from Santa Lucia island and it's called [e]8 (elements eight). It offers two rums:
- Platinum: white rum, aged for 4 years and then filtrated for removing its colour.
- Gold: aged for 6 years, keeping its darker colour.

They do 3 different distilations, combining them so there are finally 9 "different" rums blended in each bottle. Actually, ten of them... Believe me, it's a whole pleasure sipping a white rum that tastes like matured rum. Very tasty! It had been almost a year since Ian Barrel (a.k.a. the Rum Ambassador) made me taste it in London, and it finally makes it to Spain.
The best thing is that the spanish market scene seems to be changing and opening to a wider range of brand marks and styles. Let's see if we manage to make the most of it!

The tasting they delivered was for free, but I paid my price: as soon as I got in, I met some known fellows and as I approached to them with my big smile from the door, where a really good looking and sexy lady let me in, I accidentally stepped on sort of a small plantpot wich happened to be a candle full of warm wax and wich redecorated my right shoe, making me recall all of the members of the party's decorator's family. I didn't loose my smile, though.

Well, those things happen...
